19th November 2021 — Pupils and staff alike at the Pewsey-based Prep School dressed in their finest yellow and/or spotty attire to help raise funds to support vulnerable children and young adults in the UK.

Jonty Butler, Deputy Head at St Francis explained “Children in Need is always a special day for the pupils at St Francis to be involved in, and it was wonderful to see so many embrace this wholeheartedly – it was a veritable sea of yellow when I walked around the playground at break!”

Pupils from across the school took part in the day; including some of the smallest in Nursery who made their own Pudsey ears and eyepatches to sport! Teacher Holly Van Lochem matched with her three boys in their Pudsey onesies (unofficially winning best dressed family). Year 1 took to the spotty assignment to heart and channelled their inner Kandinsky by painting their own spotty masterpieces.

The day finished with a Cake Sale; a truly delicious way to raise funds, and at the time of writing (notwithstanding any funds to come from said scrummy treats) the School raised nearly £900 for Children in Need.

Headmaster at St Francis, David Sibson added “It is brilliant to see our School community once again unite to support such a wonderful cause. I am, as I have always been, in awe of the generosity of spirit of our pupils and remain incredibly proud of them.”

St Francis School & Little Saints Nursery (Coed 3m -13) is a day school in Wiltshire.
