Dylan's wonderful work with hedgehogs hits Radio 1 Breakfast airwaves

16th December 2021 — A Monmouth schoolboy has been interviewed on national radio this week about his wonderful work with hedgehogs.

Dylan Allman spoke to host Greg James from Radio 1 Breakfast.

The interview was broadcast on BBC Radio 1 on Tuesday 14th December.

The Year 10 pupil is Monmouth’s hedgehog champion and is aiming to reduce the number of injuries suffered by hedgehogs from gardening activities.

During the autumn, Dylan, a pupil at Monmouth School for Boys, delivered first-class advice on looking after, and caring, for hedgehogs, at the first ACE Monmouth Climate Future Festival

Last summer, Dylan continued to work hard on his project, contacting manufacturers as part of his campaign and completed four hedgehog rescues, including one in neighbouring Redbrook.

Haberdashers' Monmouth Schools (Coed 7-18) is a day and boarding school in Wales.
