Pressburst has an audio guide directly in the system to make using it very easy. If you are an existing user, are you taking advantage of all the features? We offer some suggestions below.

We know there are often not enough hours in the day but one of the key aspects of Pressburst is to try and save you time and money. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via help@pressburst.app to discuss any of these features further and we can arrange a time for a telephone call, if helpful.

Here are three quick suggestions:

1. Press releases

Do you use the press release function? It can take any story you have uploaded to Pressburst and turn it into a professionally-formatted press release. Why is this better than sending it manually through your email program? The key difference is that through Pressburst, the release is formatted in the most accessible way possible for journalists – with absolutely no attachments.

Few journalists have the time to wade through endless photos or documents and, to catch their attention, your release should be on one email with embedded thumbnail images. A journalist can then quickly identify if the release is useful and download just the high resolution images she or he needs.

You can manage all your press contacts directly in Pressburst and it's a huge time-saving feature, as well as improving both the professionalism of your releases and the likelihood of them being picked up by the press. 2. Jobs and HR vs News and Communications

In most schools, the role of HR and Communications rarely overlaps. Pressburst helps both teams by providing a first-class tool for managing news with an innovative and incredibly cost-effective way of promoting jobs. But is your school taking full advantage of this?

If you work in Communications, do tell your colleague(s) in HR about Pressburst. You can add user accounts for them in the Settings > Users area and they can then login and start posting an unlimited number of jobs to all the Association jobs websites – the leading portals for recruiting staff in the independent schools' sector and exclusively developed by Attain through Pressburst.

If you work in HR, do tell your colleague(s) in Communications about Pressburst. You can add user accounts for them in the Settings > Users area and they can then login and start taking advantage of all the news features in Pressburst.

N.B. Whether your work in Communications or HR, please remember you can add an unlimited number of user accounts at no extra charge – it is all part of your Pressburst subscription. Please do not share your login with any colleagues or use a generic email address as a login – all accounts must be on a per person basis but you can add as many individual people as you wish.

3. An app for parents

We have recently launched our new Attain app for parents and a key feature is that it enables you to fully customise the content so it can be an app for your school. And one of the best features is that you can take advantage of this custom app at no extra cost – it is all part of your Pressburst membership.

Why spend out on a separate app for parents when you can save budget and use the free Attain app? The app makes it easy for parents to read all your news, blogs, notices, events and calendar information – all from one easy to use app for both Apple iOS and Google Android devices.

All the content is managed directly in Pressburst and it's simple to use. You can add your branding to the app to fully customise the experience. And please remember the app is free for both schools and parents – but if you really want your own, standalone custom app, we can even help with this (at a small additional annual cost).
