16th September 2019 — RGS Worcester pupil Sebastian Thompson officially signed for Derby County Football Club and started 'work' at the beginning of July.

He joined a strong Under 18 squad who are the current English Under 18 Champions. He has already played games against Norwich, Wigan, Brighton, Burnley and Sheffield United. The news has been made even more exciting following the announcement that Wayne Rooney, former Captain of England, is joining the club from January 2020.

This story is made remarkable due to the fact that Seb suffered a fracture to his femur last year and he focussed on completing his GCSEs and his rehabilitation. All at RGS Worcester wish him every success for the future.
