24th May 2019 — Lucy Worsley historian, author, Chief Curator of Historic Royal Palaces and presenter for the BBC was at St. Francis’ College last night to talk about her new book about Queen Victoria. The talk was organised by David’s Bookshop and was a complete sell out. It was a very timely visit as May 24th marks the 200th anniversary of Victoria’s birth. Lucy’s talk was fascinating and hugely entertaining. Much of her research had been based on reading Queen Victoria’s diaries so we all leant a little bit more about this well-known monarch. We were delighted to welcome her back to St. Francis’ College and host such a successful event.
