9th November 2020 — The boys in Reception at Moulsford loved having Colin from 'Crocodiles of the World' come to visit them in school last week. They learned all about reptiles and had the chance to touch the bearded dragon called Boris, the African python named Malcolm and the young crocodile (who doesn't have a name yet)! that came in.
The boys found out that crocodiles and alligators have different teeth, but they are all sharp. They also discovered that the bearded dragon's scales were smooth going one way and spikey going the other direction. Joseph DH said that the spikes on the sides of the bearded dragon were not sharp at all and learnt that a snake can open its mouth really wide to fit in small mammals to eat. Finlay M said he liked the snake and Thomas G said he liked the lizard best.
Mrs McKenzie, the Reception teacher said, "We are very grateful to Colin for visiting us as we were unable to go to Crocodiles of the World due to recent restrictions. The boys had a brilliant time and particularly enjoyed the chance to see these reptiles up close."
