4th October 2019 — Pupils at St Aubyn’s really did put the FUN into FUNdraising in September by taking on two exciting challenges in one week!

Middle and Senior School pupils pushed themselves to the limit in the 400 Try Challenge, a rugby themed obstacle course,to coincide with the Rugby World Cup. They raised over £6,000 for the NSPCC.

The second challenge, organised by the School Council, was The Great St Aubyn’s Bake Off and it was no less demanding! Pupils were invited to showcase their amazing food technology skills to produce their signature bakes - six identical cupcakes which were judged on taste, decoration and creativity. A prize was awarded to the best in each year group.

Mrs Slade, Senior School Council Lead Teacher, commented, “We were overwhelmed by the response of the children and delighted by the quality of the cupcakes they produced”.

The cakes were then sold at a coffee morning and £1,180 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.
