On Monday 30th September, four Bishop’s Stortford College Pre-Prep pupils visited the Bishop’s Stortford Food Bank ahead of their Harvest Festival celebrations.
The children were shown the important work the Food Bank undertakes within the local community, supporting those in need. Food Bank staff and volunteers spoke to the children about the different types of foods needed and how local schools can help. The pupils even met the Mayor of Bishop’s Stortford and spoke with her about the vital community role played by the Food Bank.
Upon their return to the College, all four pupils prepared an informative presentation for their classmates sharing everything they had learned during their visit.
Two days later Pre-Prep pupils joined a cross-campus Harvest Festival celebration, proudly demonstrating all the knowledge they had gained from their classmates’ visit to the Food Bank. Many food and toiletry items were also donated to the White Chapel Mission.
