Then, with the School minibus bursting at the seams, the donations were taken to the depot of Wrap Up London. Volunteers there will spend many hours sorting the coats into different piles for men, women, children and babies. They will check the pockets and make sure that the coats are in good condition. In December the coats will be distributed to charities across London that support the homeless, the elderly, refugees, children and families living in poverty and people fleeing domestic violence.
Representatives from the School Council, Lexi, Freddy and Saanvi said, “At St Aubyn’s, it is important that we work together as a whole school community to help others less fortunate than ourselves. We are helping other people by passing on items we no longer need and it is part of our social responsibility.”
