2nd December 2019 — On Monday 25 November, Isabel and Yuriy (Head Girl and Head Boy at The Royal Senior School), welcomed 24 guests to Stoatley Hall for the annual Head Girl and Head Boy’s Charity Dinner, this year in support of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) in memory of the late Mr Mark Pordage, former Head of ICT at the school.

After a delicious three-course meal guests enjoyed a presentation by Guest Speaker, Professor Iain Greenwood of St. George’s University of London, in which he told the audience about his work in molecular and cellular pharmacology and what the money raised by the BHF can do to help benefit the lives of people suffering from cardiovascular problems.

Isabel said, “We were also honoured to have Mr Pordage’s parents as our Guests of Honour, and Ms Millie Coulter from the British Heart Foundation. As the evening drew to a close, we announced to our guests that we have decided to rename the L9 ICT suite ‘The Mark Pordage ICT Suite’ in his memory, and we presented the plaque to his parents. It was a fantastic evening and we are proud to have been able to raise over £850 to support such a brilliant charity.”
