27th November 2020 — Witham Hall pupils had the great pleasure of taking part in the Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation’s 2020 Festival with their performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. As communities and schools re-invent ways in which they conduct events and celebrations, this year’s production was filmed in advance and digitally broadcast for the National Schools’ Shakespeare Festival.

The children learned how to work with a professional videographer, performing in locations around the School over one day rather than a traditional stage performance.

On 20 November, hundreds of casts took part in ‘One Night of Shakespeare,’ a unique showcase of theatre from across the UK. The event was hosted virtually by a Coram SSF Patron with schools far and wide linked via video.

Witham Hall’s performance can be viewed on YouTube.
