14th June 2019 — A late change to the forecast meant that 40 Fettes College Pupils enjoyed a warm sunny day of Piping and drumming up at Strathallan on Sunday.

Our A Band and Development Band both played well and made significant improvements from their last competitive outing, with increased numbers of players and in performance quality.

The A Band won the Confined Grade for the second year in a row meaning we now hold both the Scottish Schools Championship title and the CCF Scottish Schools title for the second year in a row.

When playing up into the Open grade the A Band had their best results yet, taking two thirds in piping behind reigning World Champions Dollar and currently 4th in the World George Heriots.

Thank you to Pipe Major Hamish S, Pipe Sergeant Jack S and Drum Sergeant Oliver H for their leadership and to all of our leaving pipers and drummers who made the time to compete. A superb day by all!
