Olympians Return to College to 'Break Ground' For New Multi-Activity Centre

3rd May 2019 — Shiplake College Olympic rowing alumnae returned to the College to help 'break ground' for a new multi-activity centre. Olympians Will Satch, Ben Hunt-Davis, Richard Lester and Malcolm Carmichael attended, along with a number of governors and members of the Shiplake community.

The new riverside centre will provide training facilities for the independent school’s rowing crews and storage for 72 boats. It will also be a hub for the College’s CCF and will feature a double height climbing wall, fitness suite and rifle and archery range.

Shiplake College is an HMC independent day and boarding school for boys aged 11-18 and girls aged 16-18. Boarding is available from 11+ (Year 7). The College is situated on the banks of the River Thames, just outside Henley-on-Thames.
