27th March 2019 — On Wednesday 27th match, four Lanesborough boys were invited to represent the school in the Epsom College Year 5 Maths Team Challenge. The boys were at Epsom College for the morning and took part in a range of challenging mathematical puzzles. The first round was a group one solving word problems ranging from missing number, sequences and shape puzzles. The next round involved a mathematical story in which ages had to be calculated and then the four types of averages solved. These were followed by logic and speed rounds.

They worked well as a team and were great ambassadors for Lanesborough. In the final results, our team came 3rd out of 13 teams which is an exciting result for this new venture for us. It was an excellent result for all the boys involved.
