Year 6 pupil at The Froebelian School, Horsforth, Rithwik Gururaj, is celebrating having been ranked first place in the recent entrance exam for The Crossley Heath School in Halifax.
The test, taken by 800 entrants for one of 360 places available, comprised three parts: English, Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning.
Headteacher Catherine Dodds said: “We are incredibly proud of Rithwik. He is an outstanding pupil who has developed a solid range of learning skills and attitudes which have served him well in these entrance assessments.
