13th August 2020 — The Kingsley School sixth formers have achieved a 100% pass rate, with 35% of grades A* - A, and 71% of grades A* - B. Alongside exceptional performances in A-level subjects, a number of students participated in Cambridge Technical courses, in which 100% Distinction* grades were awarded in Business Studies, IT and Health and Social Care. These results reflect the quality of hard work undertaken by students and teachers and the efforts of staff to compile a persuasive evidence base to underpin their grading estimates.

All girls who applied have secured places at their first choice universities, with the remainder opting for gap year opportunities and deferred entries for next year. Amongst the excellent destinations are:

Head Girl Rebecca Winn, from Warwick, who has already moved to Florida Gulf Coast University after signing to train and compete in the USA’s highest university division for swimming and diving.
Head Girl Lily Constance, from Harbury, studying Neuroscience at University of Manchester
Evelyn O’Sullivan, from Alcester, studying Bio veterinary Science at Harper Adams University
Lily Williamson, from Leamington Spa, studying Childhood Studies at Aberystwyth University
Meghna Gupta, from Leamington Spa, studying Hospitality at Oxford Brookes University
Jenna Morgan, from Wellesbourne, who has secured a Nursing place at University of Leeds following a gap year Round Square opportunity at Rockport School in Ireland
Hollie Jones, from Henley-In-Arden, studying Veterinary Science at University of Liverpool
Sophie Walsh, from Warwick, studying Pharmacology at University of Leeds
Matilda Dumas, from Warwick, studying Agriculture with Animal Science at Harper Adams University

Year 12 girls at Kingsley secured brilliant AS Level results, with exceptional performances in English, French, Economics, Art, Politics and Psychology. Having secured such excellent grades, this cohort has set a very high standard with a strong indication of excellent A-level results next year.

Head of Sixth Form, Dawn Morgan, says: “At Kingsley, we strive to encourage a strong work ethic with students adopting good study practices from the outset and these fantastic results reflect our girls’ and staff team’s hard work throughout their courses. All girls have adapted to very difficult circumstances and we wish to congratulate each of them warmly on these well-deserved achievements. They have, without exception, conducted themselves with grace and courage and we are immensely proud of them.”
