An exciting opportunity to lead a Prep School Games Department on a full-time basis, teaching PE to Reception to Year 8 and leading Boys' Games in Years 3-8. Salary: Full-time IAPS contract dependent on skills and experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and dynamic Sports Department for a full time contract.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-qualified Games teacher, to share teaching of Games to Senior boys with Games staff and to manage the Games Department, as well as teaching PE throughout the school.

The ability to offer Yr 4 and 5 Maths would also be desirable.

We are seeking someone with proven experience in teaching Games to a high standard, an evident passion for Sport and a keen desire to enthuse pupils.

You will enjoy working within a team, demonstrate a positive, can do approach and have a good sense of humour. Of prime importance is an ability to motivate and inspire students.

Applications are invited from a Sports specialist with experience of teaching in Prep Schools. NQTs are also welcome to apply. Pupils are well behaved, polite, keen to learn and are all encouraged to achieve their individual best.

Teachers in the department have high expectations for all, but very much tailor their lessons to suit the needs of each pupil. Planning is done so collaboratively but with each teacher having the freedom to adapt this according to the needs of their individual class. Creativity and a forward thinking approach are encouraged.

All members of staff are also expected to be involved in pastoral care within the School community and to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the School.
