Roedean is at a very exciting time of its development, with strong and positive growth in pupil numbers and the development of first-class facilities across the site. We welcome your interest in being part of our continuing journey.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to assist our young people in the classroom under the supervision of the class teacher and to carry out administrative tasks.

The Teaching Assistants play a full part in school life, working with teachers in the classroom and providing additional support to students in Maths and Science, but some Literacy support to GCSE level may also be required. Ideally suited to those considering a career in teaching, the assistants will gain a broad range of experience within a prestigious and successful independent school.

Candidates with a Maths/Science specialism and/or with an interest in SEND would be desirable.

Hours – 8.30am – 4.30pm, term time only. Reduced hours would be considered for the right candidate.

Roedean is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants.

Please download an application pack from our website (www.roedean.co.uk/Vacancies) or contact Louisa Butler, via vacancies@roedean.co.uk.

Closing date: 9am, 3 August 2020. Due to the need to appoint quickly we reserve the right to interview and appoint at any stage of the process.
