Caterham is one of the UK’s leading co-educational schools. We are a highly successful, ambitious and caring school that is committed to providing an inspiring education that prepares pupils for life.
We are well placed for access to town and country: the beautiful two hundred acre site is five minutes’ drive from Junction 6 of the M25, twenty minutes’ drive from Gatwick and a short walk from the local station, with several trains an hour into London.
Caterham Prep School is an IAPS co-educational day school that is an integral part of Caterham School. At the Prep School we cater for children from three to eleven years of age. Most of our pupils go on to join our Senior School, which in turn caters for pupils from eleven to eighteen years of age.
Caterham Prep School challenges all its pupils to exceed their suggested potential in their class work. We also place a high emphasis on the importance of participation and effort in co-curricular activities. Equally significant are the high standards of behaviour and care for others that we encourage and expect from our pupils. Learning at Caterham School is an exciting adventure, full of opportunities for personal development, achievement and enjoyment. We believe that all of our pupils can be successful in an environment which is caring, optimistic and encouraging. Our results are testament to the uniquely supportive environment that is Caterham’s hallmark.
We wish to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Head of Science to join the school in September 2020. The successful candidate will hold an appropriate teaching qualification and will be an inspirational, committed and highly effective educational practitioner dedicated to achieving the best outcome for every individual child both in and out of the classroom.
