The Bury Grammar Primary Schools are made up of the Infant School – which also encompasses BGS Kindergarten - the Boys’ Junior School and the Girls’ Junior School. The new Primary Head will be the Head of one of the Primary Schools: Head of the Infant School and Kindergarten, Head of the Boys’ Junior School or Head of the Girls’ Junior School as well as having whole school responsibility as the Deputy Principal of the Bury Grammar primary schools. The Primary Head of the Infant School will line manage the Kindergarten & Wrap Around Care Manager and the Principal of the Bury Grammar Primary Schools will also head up one of the three Primary Schools.
These new roles represent a once in a lifetime opportunity for the new post-holders to shape the future of the Bury Grammar Primary Schools under their new leader, to become the key figurehead and leader of their ‘own’ school, to work with our hugely talented SLT and to have a unique and rewarding leadership experience. If executed well (as we expect!) the new roles will transform lives: yours and that of the pupils in your care.
The leadership of Bury Grammar School is central to its success and that of the pupils. We expect the highest standards from our senior leaders and trust that they will display honesty, integrity and an absolute commitment to doing the right thing for our pupils and to continuing to move the School forward.
