Tockington Manor School is an independent co-educational Preparatory school for pupils from 2 to 14 years old.
Tockington Manor School is an independent co-educational Preparatory school set in 28 acres of lovely countryside in the picturesque village of Tockington, in the south west of England. Pupils are welcomed from age 2 to 14 with boarding available from age 7. We pride ourselves in delivering a varied timetable in small classes geared to the needs of each pupil but with emphasis on the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. We aim to provide an environment that is positive, supportive and disciplined within a warm, caring, family atmosphere. Pupils are encouraged to be confident, considerate and accomplished free thinkers. All pupils take part in all aspects of school life, academic or otherwise, making the most of every moment. The boarding house has a real family atmosphere and aims to provide a caring environment which promotes the values of honesty, sharing and trust between the children. They are encouraged to look after their own environment, possessions and personal hygiene thus developing their own independence. The accommodation we provide is comfortable for all to share in but still provides the privacy that they need at times. The boarders are well catered for with exciting activities planned for every weekend including cycling, climbing, caving, outdoor adventures, visits to the zoo and museums, theatre and cinema visits, and of course shopping! They also have the opportunity to go for a swim in our own indoor swimming pool, have time to relax, watch DVDs, ring home and spend time with their friends. During the week there are various evening activities for which the day children may also stay. These include judo, ballet, touch rugby, archery, crafts and drama. We can arrange for them to spent exeat weekends with day children's families if needed. We also arrange transport to and from airports as required. A discount of 15% is offered to Forces families - full details are available from the bursar.
