The Perse Nursery and Pre-Preparatory School (known as the Pelican) is an IAPS school for girls and boys aged 3-7 in Cambridgeshire. The Pelican is part of a 3-18 Perse School education. Children progress through three distinctive schools but benefit from being part of a larger institution with an integrated curriculum and pastoral care system and access to first-class facilities.
From their first visit to the Nursery, we aim to make our pupils’ experience of school happy and exciting, encouraging them to take daily, small steps to build their confidence, curiosity and passion for learning. They have experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated teachers who ensure they acquire a firm foundation of lifelong skills, whilst having access to a broad, stimulating and challenging curriculum. This takes account of the children’s interests and the first class opportunities available to us within and around Cambridge. The School’s pastoral care is second to none; every child in the School is known to all and valued for their individual characteristics, and all achievements are celebrated. The facilities at the Pelican are excellent, and as part of the wider Perse School, Pelican pupils benefit from being able to use the extensive facilities at the nearby Upper School, particularly for sports.
