Girls Sport put Milton Keynes Preparatory School on the map
Sport at Milton Keynes Preparatory School is on the up as result of a new sporting regime at the school. Our girls' teams are now setting the bar in terms of reaching the National Finals at U11.
16th February 2017 — The U11 Girls sports teams at MKPS have had a remarkable three years since the implementation of a new sporting regime at the school. The Games curriculum has been extended to include Reception and Keystage 1 children, encouraging the children to play team sports earlier.
The Senior girls have formed smaller squads for specific sports to allow them to benefit from daily morning and after school training which are focused on specific match skills. As a result of this new regime the U11 Girls have qualified for the National Finals 6 times in just the past 3 years either in Hockey, Netball or Rounders.
They look to continue this record this year by already qualifying for the National Hockey Finals last term and are training hard this term to qualify for the National Netball Finals for the 4th consecutive year. An impressive display of how time and practise can achieve excellence.
