We have been educating boys to the highest standards for 140 years. We are unashamedly a boys' school giving pupils the chance to achieve great results as well as enjoying sports and activities every day. Art, Sport and Music are very popular and each year boys achieve many scholarships to the top UK day and boarding schools. We can find and develop the individual gifts and talents of every boy. In 2015, we opened a new purpose-designed Pre-Preparatory School for childnre aged 4 - 7 years which also welcomes girls as well as boys.
Lockers Park offers an excellent education for boys and girls aged 4 – 7 years, and to boys only from the ages of 7-13.
With an established heritage of over 140 years, Lockers Park offers a first class education, holds traditional values dear and infuses this with modern practice. We are proud of our deservedly high reputation for being a school with strong results but also where the welfare and happiness of the children is at the heart of all we do.
Our emphasis is not just on academic excellence, but also pastoral care and extra-curricular activities and we believe that this is summed up best by our school motto – good results, good manners and good fun.
The Preparatory School (7 – 13 years) is firmly committed to a boys-only education as we believe that older boys thrive, both educationally and socially in a single gender environment. Small classes of up to 16 is a hallmark of the School, enabling every boy to reach his full potential, and Lockers Park has a long tradition of preparing boys for the best of British and independent schools, via Common Entrance and Scholarships.
The Pre-Preparatory School, with its purpose-designed building, modern facilities and dedicated staff, complements the Prep School drawing on the long established ethos and values that make Lockers Park unique. The Pre-Prep welcomes both boys and girls giving parents the opportunity to educate them together throughout the early years. Boys will move onto the Prep School in Year 3 while girls progress to a range of local girls’ and co-ed schools.
