An outstanding Nursery, Infant and Junior School for children aged from 3 to 11. Nestling in an idyllic setting on the outskirts of Canterbury children thrive in this traditional day and boarding school where the emphasis is finding the right pace of education for each child. Boarding starts at the age of 7 with accompanied travel to and from London, on HS1, at weekends an easy option for working parents.
We believe in making the time table appropriate for each individual child. All children in the junior school take part in our Gifted, Really Enthusiastic, Able and Talented Programme which enables the children to increase their performance even further in their chosen area. These lessons are given curriculum time and are delivered by specialist teachers who develop individual programmes for each pupil based on their needs.
The areas of choice are geared towards maximising each child’s chances of winning a scholarship to senior school and gaining entry to the school of their choice. At present the areas are:
Advanced Academic Challenge;
Choices are made on a termly basis and advice is available from the specialist staff who deliver these activities.
The school boasts a working farm where students can have a real hands on experience with the animals or even learn to ride.
