Fairfield Preparatory School, part of Loughborough Endowed Schools, is a select entry, co-educational school for children aged from three to eleven. A brand new, state-of-the-art Kindergarten for children aged 3+ opened in January 2016, the first phase of an £8m new school building which opened in September 2016.
About the school
Fairfield is a happy, caring school, where children are nurtured and staff strive to bring out the best in every child. Excellence is celebrated both inside and outside the classroom, but the opportunities, from the moment a child joins us to Year 6 are endless.
The school was rated 'Excellent' in all aspects by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in March 2016. A copy of the report can be found at http://www.lesfairfield.org/about/inspection-reports/.
Fairfield enjoys an enviable academic reputation locally and nationally, but it is sport, music, dance, drama and art that help to develop the ‘whole child’, giving them confidence to take part and enjoy success. More than 40 clubs and activities are available at lunchtime and after school to suit a wide range of interests, and in the Prep School, activities are inclusive with everyone taking part in House competitions and drama performances.
Fairfield offers a broad and balanced education appropriate to the needs of the children in our care. The school combines traditional and family values within an enlightened and ever changing curriculum, taught in first-class facilities facilities. Children also benefit from access to the Fairfield Forest School, staffed by a Level 3 accredited Forest Schools Practitioner, and the LES Music School, the only All-Steinway School in the East Midlands.
Children leave Fairfield at the end of Year 6 (11+) as happy, confident, independent learners ready to take on the challenges of secondary education at Loughborough Grammar School (boys, 10-18), Loughborough High School (girls, 11-18), Our Lady's Convent School (girls, 11-18), and other independent schools.
