Ewell Castle is a well-established independent day school of some 550 pupils, located on three sites in the attractive Surrey village of Ewell: Chessington Lodge and Glyn House (Junior School) -co-educational 3-11 years and The Castle (Senior School) - boys 11-18 years, girls 11-18 years.
Ewell Castle School’s philosophy is to provide each child with an education geared to achieving their potential. The school offers a secure, stimulating and caring environment in which abilities can be nurtured and developed. We offer small class sizes – average 15 boys to a class, and a broad and balanced curriculum. .
We strive for academic excellence and pride ourselves on our standards and results . In addition to the well-resourced academic provision, Ewell Castle’s fifteen acre site offers space and opportunity for a wide range of sports and other extra-curricular activities. Rugby, soccer and cricket are played, and there is also a broad ‘minor’ sports programme. The Creative and Performing Arts are also strong with a regular programme of music and drama activities and productions. A strong emphasis on pastoral care, underpins all aspects of school life.
A recently completed building development provides six new classrooms, canteen and dining facilities and a Sixth Form cafeteria. Further forthcoming developments include relocation and refurbishment of administrative offices and the move to ceducational provision in the Sixth Form from September 2013.
We encourage you to visit the School with your child during one of our Open Events. To apply for a place at Ewell Castle School for your child, you will need to complete an application form and return this to The Admissions Department.
