Lady Eleanor Holles Junior School

A school full of opportunities, challenges and friendships

Our school is a busy and purposeful place and the girls' ‘can do’ attitude and intellectual curiosity is infectious.  At LEH we are fortunate to have incredibly supportive parents, friendly and dedicated staff and children who quite simply love their school!  Pastoral care underpins all that we do at LEH Junior School and we strongly believe that a child who feels valued, safe and happy will reach her full potential.

About Lady Eleanor Holles Junior School

We offer a rich and diverse curriculum which is full of exciting opportunities to try new things, learn new skills and develop their individual talents.  Academic standards are high, and girls generally work in advance of their chronological age and standard year group.  We are proud of the fact that when our Year 6 girls move up to our Senior School, they take with them a set of skills and core values that will enable them to confidently and courageously embark on the next stage of their educational journey.

One of the hallmarks of our Junior School is the provision of specialist subject teaching in science, computing, PE, music and languages. We bring iPads and other interactive technology into the classroom to give girls the opportunity to experiment and learn practical skills. School trips provide a break from the day-to-day curriculum, with girls visiting places like the National Archives at Kew and the Jurassic Coast.

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our open events, where you will get a chance to talk to our girls and teachers, study the work on display, see the well-resourced classrooms and the evidence of learning beyond the classroom. You will notice the extra-curricular programme, from Chess Club and Mandarin to Yoga, Gymnastics and Swimming – we believe in creating opportunities for everyone to succeed – if there is a hidden talent, it will not remain hidden for long - we will find it!

The tuition fee includes stationary and textbooks. Additionally, school lunch is compulsory for all girls. The cost of lunch is £194 per term. Information about additional fees for optional extra subjects and other charges is available from the Director of Finance.

Scholarships & Bursaries

The school offers a number of bursaries and scholarships each year but they are reserved for girls entering the Senior School at 11+.
