Scholarships & Bursaries
We offer a number of means-tested bursaries. Once offered, although reviewed annually, it is usually the case that bursaries remain in place for the duration of a child’s time at Terrington Hall.
When two or more siblings attend Terrington Hall at the same time, a 10% discount is applied to the basic fees of the second child and 25% to the basic fees of the third child.
Armed Forces and Clergy discount
A 10% discount is applied to the basic fees of children of the Clergy and of serving Armed Forces’ personnel.
Terrington Hall is non-selective and welcomes visits from prospective parents. This can be arranged at any time by emailing email@example.com or contacting the school office on 01653 648227.
Whilst the main class entry points are Nursery/Reception and Year Three, pupils can be accepted into all year groups, places permitting, from Nursery through to Year 8 (3-13) and at any point in the school year.
The first step for parents considering the school is to visit us and meet with the headmaster Stephen Mulryne. You may then wish to arrange a taster day or morning for your child to experience life at Terrington Hall. Whilst no formal tests are administered the taster day is a valuable opportunity for informal assessments to be carried out by our teaching staff.
Should you wish to proceed, the next stage in the process is to fill in the registration form. Once this is returned with the non-refundable registration fee of £75, your child will be placed on the class list, or on a waiting list if the class list is full.
Two terms before your child is due to start, we will write to you to ask whether you wish to accept your child’s place on the class list and a deposit of £300 will be requested. Once the deposit has been received, your child’s place is confirmed. The deposit is refundable after the end of a child’s final term in the school, and is offset against their final extras bill. The deposit will not be returned if parents subsequently choose not to enter their son or daughter to Terrington Hall. Once acceptance of a place has been confirmed, a term’s notice is required for withdrawal.
Our admissions process is designed to help you establish whether Terrington Hall is the right school for your child. Your child is encouraged to visit the school at any stage in this process.
