The Kilgraston staff are skilled and equipped to support and develop their pupils through effective teaching and learning. The pupils quickly become confident individuals and successful learners, benefiting from a broad curriculum of academia, outdoor education, sport, music, drama, speaking and much more.
Kilgraston has pushed its academic capabilities over the last decade and often has the highest grades in Scotland - last year 96% of Advanced Higher grades at Kilgraston were A-C. Kilgraston’s academic record is helped due to the small class sizes; the Sixth Form often has less than 10 pupils per class and the lower ages with around 15.
Kilgraston’s facilities are a match for any of the larger Independent Schools in Scotland. With the Equestrian centre, a new International sized all-weather hockey pitch, 8 all-weather tennis courts, sports hall with climbing wall and fitness suite and a new 25m indoor swimming pool there is plenty to keep the girls occupied! A brand new science centre and sixth form study centre ensures that Kilgraston girls are ready for successful futures. A Catholic school, Kilgraston warmly welcomes girls of all faiths and none, who make up a large proportion of the pupils. The school is a member of the international network of Sacred Heart Schools which opens Kilgraston to a wide range of personal contacts and potential for lifelong friendships with a number of pupils who attend from Mexico, Spain, Germany and other countries world-wide.
