South Hampstead High School is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust; girls at twenty-six Trust schools are over twice as likely to study A level Maths, Physics or Chemistry as girls nationally. A recent study by the Institute of Physics found that in nearly half of all co-educational schools, there are no girls studying Physics at all.
