The pupil body numbers approximately 780, comprising 470 boys and 310 girls from 13 to 18 years of age, and we welcome pupils from both Britain and overseas. The College provides challenge and choice for all its pupils through a personalised programme of study that is inspired by expert, passionate and engaging teaching. We offer a generous range of options at GCSE, A Level and IB, and every year welcome a substantial number of boys and girls into our vibrant Sixth Form. Here, an increasingly adult approach is taken and each pupil receives the dedicated support of a personal tutor to guide and support them in their academic studies. Outside the classroom, Bradfield offers an unrivalled co-curricular programme. Over 200 different teams, clubs, groups, societies and activities are available ranging from sports and drama to music and artistic pursuits, not to mention seminars, lectures, films, concerts and much more. The College also encourages a wide range of trips, both subject-based and extra-curricular, which take place regularly throughout the year to locations as far afield as mainland Europe, South Africa, the Far East and the USA. Bradfield also offers the highest standards of accommodation and all pupils enjoy excellent facilities within the boarding houses which provide a natural extension of family life at home. Pastoral care is paramount; boys and girls move on to senior houses after Faulkner’s, a coeducational house in which all spend their first year at the college. Within each boarding house, a dedicated team of Housemaster/Housemistress, Matron and Tutors are responsible for looking after each pupil during their time at the College.
